Objectives:
Review the mechanisms involved in drug-drug interactions.
Discuss the patient-related and drug-related factors that make the response to drug interactions variable.
Locate and use a variety of drug information sources including print and electronic media to research drug interaction questions.
Review the benefits and limitations of drug interaction reference sources.
Identify clinically significant drug interactions and respond appropriately to a simulated patient case.
