  1. Define common EFM terminology based on NICHD nomenclature.
  2. Discuss clinical implications of FHR and uteroplacental physiology.
  3. Recognize fetal heart characteristics associated with metabolic and respiratory acidosis.
  4. Interpret selected EFM strips.
  5. Identify common areas of liability related to EFM.
