Interventional Treatments for STEMI, Patent Foramen Ovale and Renal Artery Stenosis
Description:
This session assist medical profession in making care decisions for the diagnosis and treatment of STEMI (ST elevation myocardial infarction), PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale) and RAS (Renal Artery Stenosis). The program designed to affirm the knowledge and understanding of the interventional cardiology, and participants should be able to evaluate the appropriateness of the clinical information as it applies to the provision of patient care.
Objectives:
Verbalize current literature on thrombolysis and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for the treatment of STEMI
Identify how to incorporate into clinical practice the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association 2004 Guidelines and 2007 Focused Update for treatment of STEMI
Verbalize ways to diagnosis PFO
Define PFO and the pathophysiology of associated conditions
Define causes for renal artery stenosis
Verbalize diagnostic tests to confirm the diagnosis of RAS
