The Northwest AHEC supports regional healthcare and advanced training to healthcare professionals and students. The Library provides information resources, services, classes, and tutorials to further the Northwest AHEC mission.

Information Resources

AHEC Digital Library - The AHEC Digital Library includes full-text journals and textbooks, health care related databases, evidence-based medicine resources,and other healthcare links.We also have some online tutorials forsuccessfully using resources on theAHEC Digital Library. Anyone can access the AHEC Digital Library as a guest. However, certain licensed resources, including full-text journals, textbooksand databases are only available to ADL members.

You are eligible for membership if you are:

  • physician or on staff at one of our member institutions
  • an individual subscriber to the Northwest AHEC Information & Library System
  • a preceptor of medical, nursing, pharmacy, or other students in healthcare fields from Wake Forest University, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Duke University, or East Carolina University
