The Northwest AHEC assists regional hospitals in our 17-county area in their pursuit of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) ™ for regularly scheduled conferences such as grand rounds, tumor boards and teaching conferences. In addition, Northwest AHEC works with a variety of regional agencies in managing and marketing jointly sponsored continuing medical education activities for healthcare providers. The Northwest AHEC provides CME activities in partnership with the Wake Forest University School of Medicine’s Office of Continuing Medical Education which is committed to providing superior, ethical, timely continuing medical education to healthcare professionals, specifically physicians, thereby supporting them in constant self-evaluative improvement and lifelong learning of biomedical knowledge and better enabling them to provide optimal, safe patient care leading to the improved health and well-being of the general public.
