LEARN: Northwest Nursing Education Community
The charge to this ACCME Reaccreditation Task Force is to ensure we complete a thorough self-study which documents our intent, as well as examples of evidence that we meet all 22 specific ACCME standards (see attached) to earn a full 6-year reaccreditation and status as “Accreditation with Commendation.” The key work of this task force is to complete and document our formal CME self study in the timeframe between November 2011 and May 2012 (see attached anticipated ACCME reaccreditation schedule). Ms. Jo Patterson from the Office of CME will serve the committee as an ex-officio and staff to this Task Force.
This short course covers the basics of integrating technology in your educational program at Northwest AHEC.

FOR VIEWING PURPOSES ONLY - NO CREDIT IS OFFERED UNLESS ENROLLED IN THE OFFICIAL PROGRAM This program is designed to provide a renewal certificate for pharmacists in the area of hypertension focusing on the interpretation of current national guidelines including proper diet, exercise, and drug therapy. A total of 3 patient case work-ups will be required for benchmarking against national guidelines.
FOR CONTENT VIEWING ONLY - NO CREDIT This program is designed to provide an educational opportunity for pharmacists in the area of hypertension management, focusing on outpatient management and interpretation of current national guidelines. Participants will be exposed to practical issues of patient interviewing, pharmacotherapy, documentation of interventions and outcomes, billing and physical assessment. As a result of this comprehensive training program, pharmacists will be able to actively participate in the care of patients with hypertension.
The course is designed for the participant to learn from self-directed reading and didactic modules. Once the participant completes independent learning assignments, passing both a reading-based and separate case-based examination, he/she must attend a skills lab and two case discussion sessions (live programs). No partial credit will be given if the participant does not complete the entire program. CE credit will apply in the year 2009.
